Altera the Great Horned Owl Lays Two Eggs: Watch Live Owl Cam (videos, photos)

Those who watched the live owl cam from Oklahoma featuring Altera and Mr. T may have been dismayed when in January, Altera went missing leaving her eggs unattended. Certainly, those eggs were nonviable and have been removed. The good news is that Altera has returned and has since laid two eggs. The first egg was seen on Feb. 1, 2017, and the second egg was witnessed in the nesting box on Feb. 4, 2017. This is wonderful news for those who want to follow the live owl cam and monitor Altera’s and Mr. T’s progress. Hopefully, we’ll see the Great Horned Owl eggs hatch live and Altera will be fully committed to these eggs, unlike the last clutch.

If you check the video below that was uploaded by Lady Hawk, you’ll see Altera as she flies around the neighborhood and you can also hear hooting.

Altera has been very busy and Mr. T has been doing his fatherly duties taking care of his mate. The following video might not be a great choice for those who are squeamish as Mr. T brought Altera a rat and she definitely enjoys her treat.
