Watch March For Life Live Streaming Online as President Trump Supports and VP Pence to Speak (videos)

There’s a new administration in town and that might not get any clearer than after today’s March for Life (Education and Defense Fund) pro-life rally that takes place in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 27, 2017. Not only does  President Trump support the rally, but Vice President Mike Pence will speak. It marks the first time that a seated Vice President will deliver a speech at the pro-life march that first began on Jan. 22, 1974, following Roe V Wade.

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted about his excitement in the upcoming March for Life and President Trump has already enacted stricter rules regarding abortion, limiting funds to countries that engage in the practice. It’s unclear exactly how restrictive abortion in the U.S. will be throughout Trump’s presidency, but he has vowed to nominate a pro-life Supreme Court Justice for the United States (SCOTUS).  On Jan. 27, 2017, the hashtags #marchforlife and #prolife began trending.

March for Life Education and Defense Fund president Jeanne Mancini released a statement regarding Vice President Pence’s plan to speak during the rally.

“We are very pleased to welcome Vice President Mike Pence to speak at this year’s March for Life. His appearance marks a historic moment for the pro-life movement as Vice President Pence will be the first Vice President or President to speak at the March for Life.

“Vice President Pence has been a friend and champion of the pro-life cause his entire career. Pro-life leaders, activists, volunteers and marchers will be thrilled to hear from Vice President Pence and are bound to leave the March for Life even more energized than when they came. Our theme this year is the “Power of One,” highlighting how every individual has the ability to make a difference in the cause of life.  As a former Member of Congress, Governor and now Vice President, Mr. Pence has demonstrated throughout his entire career how one person can, indeed, make a difference in the ultimate human right — the right to life.”

As Donald Trump is pro-life and supports the March, the organization took issue with him for comments made during the election that women who have had abortions should face criminal punishment. You may see a video playlist below where March for Life president Jeanne Mancini responds to the comments on various media shows including MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews. Former presidents Ronald Reagan and George W Bush called into the March for Life rally at the time and spoke by phone. It is believed that President Trump will also call the rally and speak by phone.

President Trump spoke about the March for Life rally in his recent ABC interview with David Muir, as well as during the Republican retreat. You may watch those videos below.

In addition to the hashtags #prolife and #marchforlife, the official organization March for Life has organized a tweetfest using the hashtag #whywemarch. There is an accompanying Facebook event geared towards those who aren’t participating in the march as a way for them to engage through social media instead.

The March for Life rally stage is held in front of the Monument. You may see a picture as it is being set up from Twitter. The March for Rally speeches begin at 12 p.m. noon, and you may watch them streaming live online in the video player above.
